Nancy Ordnance Depot

The picture shows the extent of winter snow near Nancy, France.  Notice whitewashed tree trunks, a really homey touch. These are the prefab barracks we had before the poured concrete barracks were built.  They were actually not bad, had maybe 40 or 50 soldiers per building, central heat but no facilities of any kind.  They did have 110 volt electricity for lights and I had a small AM radio, listened to AFN, don't remember any other stations.
